Landquart Fashion Outlet

Hello everyone! Today I’m gonna introduce to you a outlet shopping village in Landquart, which is only about 1 hour way by train or car from Zürich. The biggest advantage of this outlet shopping village is that it’s open on Sundays. As you know, in Switzerland shops except the ones in the main stations are usually closed in Sundays. The other advantage of this outlet is that it’s right next to the Landquart train station and from Zürich HB there are direct trains going there everyday and it takes only an hour to get there. However, to be honest, the disadvantage is that it’s not that big and I’m afraid you won’t be able to find all the brands you want there. From the north entrance to the south entrance, it only takes around 15 mins by net walking. I’ll tell you more about what brands they have later in this post.

1. On the way

Either the high way or the railway from Zürich to Landquart is really beautiful, so on your way to this outlet, you can enjoy lakes, mountains, the scenic route. However, if you’re driving there, don’t be distracted. I suggest that you should take a train there as the shopping village is really next to the train station and you don’t need to park your car pr pay for parking (Parking is not too expensive though, I remember it‘s 2-4 CHF). Taking a train is faster and you don’t need to worry about traffic jam in Zürich city. However, if you plan to buy a lot of stuff or heavy stuff such as cast iron pots, you’d better drive your car.

2. At Landquart train station

When your train arrives at Landquart train station, you just need to follow the signs after you get off. There are big posters or even advertisements on the stairs showing you where Landquart Fashion Outlet is. It’s about 5 mins away by walking. On your way there you will see a Subway sandwich restaurant and if you feel hungry shopping, you can always go back there. There are cafe and restaurant in the outlet so if you have enough time you can enjoy normal meals in it.

If you take a train, you will enter from the north entrance. It’s better because you can see the map of the shops and you can get a brochure so you can check on your way. If you drive there, there are parking grounds outside both north and south entrances, but normally people park in the north parking lot first so it’s usually crowded, and then you have to go to the south parking lot, which means you have to enter from the south entrance, where there are no brochures or map.

3. Landquart Fashion Outlet

I’ll list the highlights of Landquart Fashion Outlet first here:

  1. open every day from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 except 25th and 26th of December
  2. right next to the Landquart train station
  3. most stuff are around 30% off the original price
  4. during summer sale and winter sale better discount with 30-70% off the outlet price

This outlet is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 except 25th and 26th of December. There is a path in the middle and shops on both sides. I suggest you enter from the north entrance so you can check your favorite shops on the map when you enter, or you can take a brochure with you with a small map, so you can check where the shops are on your way.

Except the shops, there are Wifi zones, information centre, toilets, first aid stations, children’s playground, restaurants, a cafe, an ATM (at the north entrance), a baby wrap room etc. You can see where they are located on the map or the leaflet. By the way, you can also do tax free shopping here.

Now I’ll tell you what are the shops here. As I said, this is not a huge shopping outlet and it doesn’t have as many brands as Fox Town in the Italian canton Ticino, but for a casual Sunday shopping, here are enough things for you to choose. Basically most of the products here are at outlet price, which mean around 30% off the original price. However, sometimes there are special sales for different shops and during summer (July-August) sale and winter sale (January-February), there are huge discounts on the outlet prices (30-70% off the outlet price).
